Eriogonum ovalifolium (Cushion buckwheat)
Small densely mounded buckwheat great for a rock garden
Grows in dry, often rocky sites at somewhat higher elevations across WA. Smallish oval leaves are covered with white woolly hair. In summer, long flower stems are capped by a ball of flowers ranging from cream to dark rosy-pink. Photo by Rod Gilbert
