Description
Hymenopappus filifolius (Columbia cutleaf)
Sand lover with yellow flowers
Columbia cutleaf has gray-green fern-like foliage forming a tuft that is distinctive in our sandy areas. Yellow flowers that look similar to those of dusty maiden bloom from May to June. This is a new species for us to try in our gardens. A perennial, this will die back in normal dry conditions. Not sure what it would do with supplemental water. Photo by Ernie Crediford
