Astragalus succumbens (crouching milkvetch)
One of the showiest milkvetches
With larger leaflets and bigger flowers and flower clusters, this is one of the prettiest milkvetches in our area. Flowers gradually grade from pale pink to darker reddish purple. Blooms from April to May. Often found in sandier soils. Photo by Heidi Stenner.
NOTE: will be dormant and pot may look empty, but the roots have been checked and look healthy.
