Monardella odoritissima (Coyote mint or Mountain monardella)
Drought Tolerant Perennial
The fragrant foliage has a very nice mint odor and flowers in summer. Lavender blossoms are ~1”. Occurs at elevations a bit higher than the Tri-Cities, so it may need light or partial shade. Grows on dry rocky slopes, but also can grow in a fairly rich soil, with moderate watering. Prefers a deep watering once a month. Photo by Mickie Chamness
