Description
Penstemon richardsonii (Cutleaf or Richardson’s penstemon)
Bright lavender to purplish-red flowers
Bright lavender to purplish-red flowers adorn this native perennial in the summer. In the right places it will bloom all summer long. Serrated leaves often have a reddish tint to them and are usually smooth. The plant dies back in the fall, but will come back the following year. Photo by GD Carr
