Penstemon subserratus (Fine-toothed penstemon)
Whorls of deep blue flowers spread out along the stems
Found along the east slopes of the Cascades, this perennial has several whorls of flowers spread out along the flowering stems. Flowers are deep blue and may have purple or white throats with long hairs on the lower lip of the tubular flowers. Leaves are opposite along stems and may be up to 3″ long. Photo by G.D. Carr
