Description
Phlox longifolia (Longleaf phlox)
Pink blossoms in spring, often seen in the shrub steppe
Often forming a low mound of flowers in full sun, it can also be long stemmed and “climb” up through shading sagebrush stems to peer out through the sagebrush’s leaves. This is a common wild species, and is a lovely addition to a garden. Photo by Mickie Chamness
