This plant looks its best in sandy or rocky dry soil. Small greenish-gray “mouse-ear” leaves cover a mat of woody branches. Flowers are bright white in the fall, becoming pink or rusty with age. Long-lived, this perennial can gradually cover several feet. Reseeds itself readily.
