Lupinus leucophyllus (velvet lupine)
Silvery foliage and lavender flowers
Velvet lupine leaves and stems are covered in soft white-gray hairs. The tall flower spike holds abundant pale purple to lavender blossoms. Flowers in June. Locally found at mid-elevations on Rattlesnake Mountain and on Jump-off Joe. Photo by Mickie Chamness
