Penstemon confertus (Yellow Penstemon)
Unusual pale yellow flowers
Found across much of eastern WA (although not around Tri-Cities), this handsome penstemon has pale yellow to cream-colored flowers in one or more compact whorls. Blooms late spring into summer. Leave are lanceolate, forming a basal rosette and continuing up the stem. Rhizomatous, multiple stems arise from a woody rhizome. Photo by Ben Legler
